Jamie Blanchfield
For as long as I can remember I’ve had a keen interest in sport and performance, from club right up to professional. I am a firm believer that hard work, dedication and effective individualized training can help people from every walk of life achieve their goals.
I’m currently undertaking an MSc (By Research) within the area of remote coaching, coach-athlete relationship and coach burnout. I have graduated with a first-class honours in BSc Sports Coaching and Performance. Through my studies I have gained vast amounts of academic and practical experience within Talent Development, Sports & Exercise Physiology, Strength and Conditioning, Coaching Practices and Sports Psychology. I am also a qualified Cycling Ireland coach working in a consultancy role with the organisation.
My primary role is an endurance coach for road cycling, time trial and track while providing support in multiple endurance sports from Triathlon to Athletics. My whole philosophy of coaching revolves around the development of self-sufficient athletes by aiding and educating them in every way possible along their journey. I have worked with a wide variety of athletes from beginner right up to professional level and hope to have played a small part in their success along that journey.

Thomas Fallon
With experience from both a practical and academic standpoint Thomas is a massive asset to the team here at Premier Endurance having both represented his country on the world stage and coached athletes themselves to excel on the world stage! Find out a little more about Thomas below.
My coaching career started in 2016 on the back of returning from the world of elite cycling to university to complete my degree in sports science with exercise physiology. Previously I raced internationally as a junior and U23 on the track and road. I was also member of the Irish senior elite track team for 2 years before returning to university.
From an academic standpoint, I have a first class honours degree in Sports Science with exercise physiology where I was awarded student of the year and later inducted into the honours list for academic excellence. I went on to study a MSc in Physiotherapy where I graduated with distinction. I have particular research interests in performance biomechanics, strength and condition and injury prevention for athletes and the general population. I am a member of the Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. From a clinical standpoint I work within the private and public sector with a diverse range of populations.
I have been the Cycling Ireland National track coach for the junior programme for the past four years and I have enjoyed considerable medal winning success at European and World level. I currently work with athletes from wide range of abilities from amateur right through to elite level and Olympic level. From a coaching perspective I am keen to have a feedback, feedforward relationship with all athletes to ensure that individual goals and performance markers are achieved. My main aim is to bring an individualized approach underpinned by the latest science to each athlete which facilitates and directs them to optimal performance throughout the racing season.
